According to the Burbank Police Department, officers responded to an emergency call around 6:00 a.m. at a home on North Brighton Street. The call was made by 25-year-old Meera Varma, who had been stabbed along with her mother, Arti Varma. When authorities arrived, both women were found with multiple stab wounds.
